“4th ANNUAL KIDS IN THE KITCHEN”
HOSTED BY THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF NORFOLK - VIRGINIA BEACH, INC.
On Saturday, March 27, 2010, The Junior League of Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Inc. will host Junior Leagues’ Kids in the Kitchen, at the Great Bridge/Hickory Family YMCA, 633 South Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23322, from 9AM to 1PM.
This health and fitness fair is designed to teach children and families the importance of good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.
This event is FREE and open to the public! Participants will receive great giveaways; be entered into multiple raffles; and engage in high-energy activities. Additionally, the school with the highest student participation will receive a $500 donation for the purchase of gym equipment.
Junior Leagues’ Kids in the Kitchen, in partnership with YMCA, is designed to help our community address the urgent issues surrounding childhood obesity and poor nutrition. By joining together to make an impact on the future health of our youth, we are helping to heighten awareness healthy family choices. Junior Leagues’ Kids in the Kitchen initiative aims to continue making an impact in this area by educating the public at the grassroots level regarding solutions to address childhood obesity.
