JOIN CLUB 85 Download Pledge Form When I picture an 85 year old woman today, I picture a woman of beauty, wisdom, hope, intelligence and high heel shoes – obviously, the high heels are a personal preference. And as I look at the members of The Junior League of Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Inc., I see the same… beauty, wisdom, hope and intelligence. And I’ve seen it for years – at GMM’s, Passion Into Action luncheons, community events, in Actives, Provisionals and particularly in Sustainers. The Junior League of Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Inc. is celebrating its 85th birthday this year. 85 years of diverse women creating positive change in the lives of women and children in South Hampton Roads. And it all started with Mrs. Lawrence F. Tucker and the first community project of providing transportation to city agencies. Through beauty, wisdom, hope and intelligence, The Junior League of Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Inc. today provides thousands of volunteer hours each year towards improving our communities and hundreds of thousands in direct grants.
